There are 2 diffrent style throttle cable brackets, the one I had didnt fit the "kit" bracket as tight as I wanted it to. I added a piece to stiffen it up temporarily untill I got a diffrent bracket off ebay for $20. I had my oem bracket from my 99,then I bought a bracket off a 95.

Here's a youtube link. 3 People in the jeep and a full tank of mid grade gas.
I'm running 31's and 3.55 gears, 90%locked fan clutch, air temps in the 60's, elevation 5,682 ft.

The M90 is meant to be used with an intercooler, it has no internal bypass so the heat generated would be higher and the it would be trying to create boost all the time. The m62 has a vacuum controlled bypass, so at idle and part throttle it takes very little energy to turn and creates almost no heat until in boost. For overall economy and derivability the m62 works best. I wish there was one like it with an internal bypass that was just a little bit bigger, the 4.0 loves boost. I had a 1.9" pulley installed for a short time and it really woke the engine up at 8psi but exceeds the superchargers max recommended RPM.

The M62's safe boost limit on a 4.0 is about 6psi. If you push it past 6psi the charge air temps get really high. The m90 has the same effect, in my opinion the point of using a larger supercharger like an m90 would be to make more boost. Anything over 6psi with any sort of forced induction you will see very high intake air temps without an intercooler. A wrangler has alot more room under the hood and an intercooler is an option, but on a Cherokee I haven't seen anything that would work. I wanted to keep it cheap and simple, my charge air temps are very near stock for now, we will see what they do when summer comes around. Water meth is always an option, I just wouldn't want to have to depend on it.

Nice video of your 0-80 run. Looks to be lean below 4000 and ok above. What were the charge intake air temps at the end of the run?
An water-air intercooler would require raising the supercharger up 3 inches to sandwich the intercooler between the supercharger and the intake manifold.
An air-air mounted above the engine in an already hot under hood temp XJ is a recipe for disaster, vented or not, as well as a plumbing nightmare.
Chemical intercooling thru the supercharger with fuel via a 7th injector or meth/washer fluid/water injection or both, is very effective, clean, safe and reliable.

CobraMarty. couple of ?s for ya.
Does this bolt right up to the stock manifold?
Also. i have to get my own blower, my own fmu, injectors etc..
ok so why is what ur selling 1000 bucks. not trying to be a d!ck or disrespectful, but i just wanna know what is costing me 1k. Brackets and a belt?????...really??? lmao.
I understand that the bracketry is no small task. Are you fabing the brackets or just reselling what you would buy. It just seems to me that 1k for brakets allbeit; special brackets, is high.
i just want to understand where ur commin from.

Good question.
The most important key pieces are-
1-front bracket/support for the idler pulley and idler pulley
2-smaller supercharger pulley to get 6 pounds boost
3-correct size belt
4-the CNC machined adapter plate (expensive) which mounts to the intake manifold and allows the s/c to be bolted on, in the correct location
5-adapter for stock jeep throttle body to be bolted to the s/c inlet
6-7th injector fuel line pieces
7-cobra head 90* adapter off TB to air filter
8-other misc pieces to make it all go together
and the engineering/knowledge/support involved to be sure that everything lines up.
All this adds up.
What you need to supply is the supercharger and an additional injector controller.
No need for a FMU or larger injectors.
Not yet selling anything. Will become a vendor when that time comes. Just showing/discussing what can be done for a possible low cost, entry level, DIY SC kit.
