Yes the kit needs a longer serpentine belt and
Yes it is included in the kit.

Thanks for asking.

how much for the kit with out the fuel control unit? Was going to do a stroker but this seems easier and better.

I only sell complete kits.
$2,495 with free shipping.
You will need a controller to handle fuel and timing needs when in boost.
Where are you located?

PNW. I want to use the aem fic that I have. Is 7 psi the most boost you can get out of the m62? I see in you sig that the sprintex gets up to 12.

The Sprintex is a more efficient blower and can also be spun faster. Hence the higher boost. Originally the Sprintex kit was meant to put out 5-6psi.

The m62 is maxed out at about 5-6psi without overspinning it. That's a very safe amount of boost.

12psi is running right on the ragged edge and will pop a head gasket if it spikes to about 12.5-13psi (which could easily happen due to variations in temperature). Yes that happened to me.

My best recommendation is to sell the FIC. What model do you have? You can get about $300 on ebay if new. To use the FIC, you will still have to buy 6 injectors for an additional cost. Using the FIC you lose some very important features. You lose plug-n-play, preprogrammed, support, no fuel or timing tables available and more importantly you lose the 7th injector and it's chemical/liquid cooling effect. This limits intake air temps to no more than 160*F. Without any intercooling or chemical/liquid intercooling, you will have intake air temps over 250*F and detonation and chance for BOOM.

The maximum reliable safe boost for a high mileage 4.0 is 6 pounds. You can spin it faster and get 8 pounds of boost but it will heat the intake air up much more and no additional power will be found. You will be very impressed with the additional +60 rear wheel HP and the 70-80 rear wheel TQ.

If you want additional power, I recommend a 62mm TB, 2.5" exhaust, real CAI, 1.7:1 roller rockers, ported big valve head, in that order.

I have 90k on my jeep now. I want to get this supercharger kit now and build a forged 4.0 later on and add more boost. Could you build a manifold that will work with the sprintex charger?

We do not have a monifold that work with the Sprintex supercharger. And these superchargers are like $2000+.
Install this kit on your 90,000 mile XJ and you will be satisfied and not need to rebuild for 100,000 miles.

Just FYI... I'm making 8.5 psi peak with 7 gpm methanol injection, and a 75mm throttlebody on the pulley that came with the kit. Iat's are about 50-60 over ambient and boost is measured by autometer gauge and 2 bar map, factory iat sensor for temp. Boost came up when I went from 4 to 7 gpm
Edit: this is on a Flyin ryan jtec tune with no 7th injector.

That's great.
How did you do the 75mm TB? What did you use? Any pics?
Have you dynoed it?

Haven't dynoed it, it's the northstar tb I posted earlier in the thread, only change is I made an adapter to use the jeep tps instead of the northstar. I'll take a pic of it next time I have it out, pretty simple round spacer and cut the throttle shaft to be a tab instead of d shape-as far as the computer is concerned it's the same as a stock tb.

I did some research on the FIC I have and it can control up to 6 additional injectors. It also says it works on stock injectors. I have the ecu extender so I get the plug and play.

Not to be a Debbie downer but you may run out of duty cycle on stock injectors... Mine are 30# and higher in the band so I'm not sure stockers can flow enough-unless you're planning on doing a seventh injector as well?

Talking

Using the 6 stock injectors (actually we use 703/784s), we add a 60 pound 7th injector, and on the Sprintex SC we changed that to a 80 pounder. All AFRs under boost are where we want 12.5-12.8.

Stock 6 injectors 22lb/hr and 703/784 24lb/hr = 132/144 total lb fuel
30 pounders x 6 = 180 total lb fuel
stock 6 + 60 lb 7th = 192-204 total lb fuel
stock 6 + 80 lb 7th = 212-224 total lb fuel

Probably reaching the limits of the stock FP, have 255LPH waiting to go in in the spring.

"Just FYI... I'm making 8.5 psi peak with 7 gpm methanol injection"
That's a lot of meth, gallon per minute, like 1 gallon every 8 seconds.
Hopefully GPH.

I'm going to look for the Northstar TB.

I posted that picture because the dude blatantly lied to me. Not only that on another forum he his saying he will use the AEM fic for exactly what he told me it cant do.
