Check here for actual real dyno results.
Strokers will put out less HP/TQ than stock 4.0 with 6 pounds boost.

Some stroker builds will put out more than 211 horsepower.

Bingo. But then again charging it costs about the same as a quality stroker build, so pick n choose which one you want.

But it would be more difficult to do a stroker I'd suspect. Although you'd probably have more low-end on a stroker.

Stoking any motor properly is a task in itself. If simplicity/easy route is your thing, go charger. There's a lot of work involved in making sure an engine is setup properly.

You can't beat the supercharger's resale value either.

I've still yet to see dyno results for a long-rod stroker compared to the charger. And the strokers you show dyno sheets for are still running the stock camshaft (a larger cam would give quite a bit of power) and you didn't bother copy/pasting the 4.9L that makes quite a bit more hp and torque than what your supercharger is putting out. The supercharger is great but unless your engine was just recently rebuilt to run a supercharger it's going to take away from some of the life of the engine. The stroker is a completely new engine and you can get 200,000 miles or more out of it if built right. Compared to the life of an already over 200,000 mile 4.0 that is getting a charger strapped on it. I just don't know how long the stock 4.0 pistons can handle producing that much power.

MP -30 cam in Gradons and ported head.
Non street/OBD legal carb engine, near max effort by Newcomer.
OK, compare apples and elephants.

I can't say i've read Gradon's build thread. It seems like you've put quite a bit of effort into maxing out the power of your setup. It seems like the supercharger would produce less power without all the tuning and modifications you've done to yours. No apples or elephants here just having conversation.

I only posted the 6 psi numbers as that is what the kit does out of the box. Both the sprintex and the M62 and most of the turbo builds are right around that 6 psi. That is a great spot for ease and reliability.

On our sprintex system we did pump it up. At 12 psi we popped a head gasket on a 160,000 mile engine. Replaced with a MLS gasket and new head bolts and ported big valve head and picked up 30 hp, boost is now about 10-11psi. Yet to dyno but expect around 265-275rwhp and 325rwtq.

If you ever get a chance to go for a ride in a supercharged 4.0 you will be more than surprised. My son rode in Gradon's and was impressed but it wasn't as powerful as the M62 kitted RaceJeep.

I'd love to slap one on my 4.9, sounds fun.

They say an M90 is better suited for a stroker's power output but that's if you want to come up with your own routing and such.

Now that would be awesome, a stroker with a supercharger.

stroker average 195rwhp/250rwtq + supercharger about psi/17 %

195/250 x 6/17 (35%) = 263rwhp/337rwtq + drivetrain loss 25% = 350crankHP/450crankTQ at only 6 pounds boost
