I'm running a much smaller pulley and seeing 8 lbs and running water meth to keep charge air temps down. My engine breathes better than average, I barely had 5 lbs of boost with the pulley included in the kit. I only saw that at wot. I even tried a new supercharger thinking the original one I had didn't build boost. Now I can get up to 7 lbs in OD before it downshifts.

No I've never had mine on a dyno yet. If your charge air temps aren't over 200 I don't think you will feel much of a benefit considering the cost.

50 degree lowering of charge intake air temp is worth about 5% more power.

We saw 40-50 degree drop with 'meth', well really blue windshield washer fluid on the sprintex system.
We do run a little leaner and less timing retard than pre-programmed with the 'meth'.

Supercharger arrived today. Few questions.

I don't feel any play which seller said there wasn't. Not a 100% sure how to check. But, how I would think, I didn't feel any.

See the side, there is one bolt and a hole (arrow points to it). What goes there? In front I assume that's the throttle body and part of the kit. But, what goes on the side right there?

Last, I assume I can hose this thing down and degrease it?

Thanks

Those top holes can be left open, nothing goes there, the side hole with the stud will get capped off. Feel free to degrease and clean the top side only. Keep the degreaser out of the underside.

Looks good to me, check and make sure the bypass valve plate isn't too worn and your good to go, all the other parts you need come with the kit.

That side whole will get a plate to cover it but will have a hole in the plate for a vacuum port. I ran my brake booster off that one.

Newbie. Which part? How do I check?

Brake booster now goes to the manifold right?

I haven't been on CF for a while, so I'm going to try and clarify as much as possible... Bear with me.. Lol

Racejeep (which has the RR system) seems to be getting about 11.5mpg mixed (mostly city and some highway). And this is with me driving with an extremely heavy foot and not really caring about mpgs.

My Sprintex Jeep gets about the same. On the 125 mile trip to Rausch Creek I noticed that my Sprintex Cherokee (3.55 gears & 32s) averaged about 16mpg while our other N/A XJ (4.56 gears & 33s) averaged about 17mpg. This was at 80mph and cruise control on the entire way.

Racejeep will start making boost with as little as 1/8 - 1/4 throttle. Regardless of rpm or mph. I'll try and get a good video of the characteristics when I wire up the boost gauge. But it goes into boost very easily.

I have seen boost offroad. (Even have a video or two. Lol)

About 16 mpg at 60 mph. Once I hit 70 mph look out. Thats where the engine is under boost basically all the time because the rolling/wind resistance. I get about 10 mpg at 70 mph. 75 mph is about 8 mpg. This is with an AF ratio of about 11.5-12.0 under boost......but.....if im under 2450 rpm the split second box does not put it in open loop so the engine never sees anything other than the 14.7 AF ratio even though the 7th injector kicks in. I have to be careful not to boost under 2500 rpm or my egt's come way up fast. Id love to hook up and program it but no darn comp. To do it with lol
How did you plumb your MAP sensor? Did you leave it attached to the throttle body or did you run boost to it? The MAP sensor should have boost going to it. The SS box does not force the Jeep into open loop.

I like that the Sprintex install was very clean and fit under the hood without cutting it and almost looks like it was an OEM install. The Sprintex hardware is very nicely made. The numbers in CobraMarty's signature were from my Sprintex XJ. It was running 5-6psi on a 90*+ day without meth. I have yet to redyno with the upped boost, meth and big valve ported head. My dad and I are making bets as to what the final numbers will be... Lmao.

BBucha. Are you still running the larger injectors and no tune or have you switched to the SS and 7th injector?

I'm still running the 6 larger injectors, no tune, 8lbs of boost and water meth 50/50. This setup works great for me, I have no pinging, no issues as it is. Now that summer is over I will be trying yet a smaller pulley for more boost and keeping an eye on SC bearing temps.
