Default Factory Fender Flare Mod....Possible?

Is it possible to trim the fender well and still retain the factory fender flares? Trying to keep it looking factory but also gain a little tire clearance. Anyone done this and have it turn out "clean" lookin?

Right on, appreciate it. Im using stock bumpers, Ive got the Tailbone from Detours on and hopefully a Backbone in the future. Trying to get a tough look without it looking all chopped and aftermarket
