engine swap

Help! I totaled my '93 Jeep XJ. I want to use the engine, lift kit, both differentials and other good parts from the '93 in a '97 I've bought that has a good body but a bad motor and no drive train. Will a 1993 XJ 4.0 high output engine swap into a 1997 XJ with a bad 4.0? The 1993 has a 5 speed manual shift; the 1997 has an automatic. I would like to use the automatic transmission from the '97. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

you can use the block from the 93 and everything else from the 97... you at least need to use the 97's ECM so the gauges will work. I know the transmission wiring on the 97 is different as well. but that's easily fixed, cut and splice.
