Default Electric Taurus fan with 3 core radiator

I've searched the forums and I know there are multiple posts concerning the topic of putting the Taurus electric fan in place of the stock clutch fan. I'm trying to do the same on my 2001 XJ with a 3 core radiator. I've got some questions ...

I've got a CSF 3 core all steel radiator. Mounting the Taurus/Volvo electric fan in place of the clutch fan while keeping the current AUX fan doesn't look promising. I'm thinking of ditching the aux fan and just running the Taurus/Volvo fan only and mounting it in the center of the radiator.

Has anyone mounted the Taurus/Volvo fan with a 3 core radiator? Do you think a single Taurus/Volvo fan with a 3 core radiator is enough to keep the Jeep cool?

Currently I'm running the Jeep with just the AUX fan. This is fine right now because it's winter. The temp gets a hair past 210* and the aux fan kicks on and brings it down within a matter of minutes. I'm certain it wouldn't be able to keep up on a 95* day. But I think a Taurus fan on high with the 3 core radiator it would be ok. Just wondering if anyone has tried it?

I've also tried and modified a few AC brackets and have run into a few issues with the coil pack. I'll post my experience on that if anyone is interested.

No, but the space between the fan and the compressor is more than 2 inches.
