Electric fan questions?
So might be a dumb question but say I was to pull my manual fan and add another Cherokee stock electric fan, and run it to a switch would it cool it good enough? Or would it have over heating problems? Main reason I want to do this is because I really want the added power with out the manual fan but I would rather not spend the 150 on a fan kit. Oh and just so you know it will be on a 00 cherokee.
Any info would be nice

my buddy just did this on his 91. Just pulled a JY fan from another XJ and swapped it in and did the wiring himself. He said it wasn't too hard. And its currently secured with zipties... But if you do this than you need to replace the studs on the pulley with regular bolts. Cause his studs decided to grind down on his fan a bit till he did that lol.

Did it on my 92. No problems so far, but I haven't had it on through the summer months yet. I use the Derale fan controller with mine.

I have had electric fans since i swap to diesel engine and i really dont recommend taking out the fan clutch , this is due to the electrical always fails , sooner or later , but the manual one , wont , i have had to change wires , relays , plugs , fans , etc , to get my truck to stay cool , and the worst day somehow they stop working , the day youll need them most , they will fail , even tho new cars have electric fans i really dont recommend them , i had to use 3 10" fans on the radiator and a fin probe thermostat , which you put into the fins of the radiator and it automatically turns on an of the fans at a certain temp , i already have 4 months with this setup with no problems , but im telling you to get this calm i have been trough hell with those.
here is the link of the controller
