Hi to all,I am new to the forum.Have a question just did an electric fan conversion on my 2000 xj. Looking for a place to put the temperature switch,I notice the plug on the right side of the radiator just above the lower transmission cooler line connection.Removed the plug and low and behold the sensor that I got from a Jetta fits in there.Can I use that location to trigger the fans. thank you.

Did some research and the Dodge Daytona,had the switch at that location.

That where the factory aux fan would close the circuit when temp was reached but was only used on renix jeeps I believe.

i was gonna say, i've never seen one of those before. i've never had a renix apart though.

My 2000 original and replacement radiator have that plug.When you remove it the thread on it is 22 x1.5 mm.
What would the temperature there would be?

Its usual when you replace a Rad they give you option to use it but only really the renix use it

I know the aftetmarket replacement from like autozone orileys etc had the plug blocked off and if you needed it, its there. I didn't think original had it makes me wonder if my 98 has it blocked off, well with the plug there.
