Eaton truetrac install in a Dana 30
When living in Michigan you get lots of snow so why not a new traction device like Eaton Detroit truetrac in my front axle of a Dana 30. When I have this installed by a local shop, I also need the bearings replaced but is there anything else I need to be worried about changing in there while this is happening ? I figured there's no reason to regear since I'm not going any bigger in tire size then 31s. So what do you all think ?

If you do decide on larger tires and to regear later you will need to buy another one for a 3.73 and up gear set since the Dana 30 has a carrier break.

I got a TrueTrac in the rear of the xj. it works well However I run a selectable locker in front.
Like other guy said, if you do later regear, you may have to buy the next size TrueTrac to accomidate the next gear ratio. Not all gear ratio ring and pinions work with all differential carriers, thus you may need to purchase a different TrueTrac later depending on the gear you want. So be darn sure on your final build plans so as to not waste money redoing stuff.
But yeah, the True Trac is a nice unit.
