Default E brake location after unibody plating

so I have a 2000 xj and just played the unibody. What do I do with the box that the brake cables meet In? That junction box thing. Unibody is plated and no where to mount? Any suggestion or pics?

Either drill holes and tap, or weld a nut inside, or weld directly to the plating. You could also weld mounting tabs off the stiffeners.

If you are reworking the e-brake anyways, do you have enough slack in the cables for the axle to fully droop? I have a 90 that I put an 8.8 into. I looked at making the 90 e-brake cables work with the 8.8, but the cables werent long enough for all of the droop the suspension has. I used the cables on the axle and the 'junction box' on the frame from the Explorer, and then mated to the stock cable in that junction box. Now I have plenty of cable length. The 'junction box' from the Explorer bolts in w/ a couple 3/8 bolts, very easy to bolt in and adapt to the XJ.

Not quite what you asked, but hopefully helpful. Worse case, refer to screen name. <-----

I just drilled and welding two nuts to the inside of the frame stiffener.

Once could also drill and tap if they've already mounted it. But, if it's 1/8" you're not going to have much to bite to.

Simply welded it right to the stiffener lol. Had the torch in my hand already so that was easy enough.
