Dual stick in an xj
I know that it can be done. Has anyone done a dana 300 swap into an XJ and what problems did you have. Flipping it or cable over is both not a problem but is there any other clearance issues?????

His leaks where he had to relocate the vent and it's the same brand. I've heard that it's an issue with those but either it leaks from the start or not at all. For what a decent 300 cost, then gearing it, flipping it and so on I'd just buy an Atlas and be done with it. Basically the same price and plenty stronger.

My dana300 cost me 120 for the case 180 for the adapter iirc and 190 for a rebuild kit and now I can run it for the time being until I can afford to regear it imo that's a better option than trying to save up for an atlas lol. Check out pirate there's a totm specific to xj dana 300 swaps.

I made my own linkage I used 3/8x1 flat stock and rounded the top then cut and bent them to fit thru the floor then those bolt to so.e 3/8 heims under the floor leading to the shift rails on the case.
It probably cost me $50.
I know nwf makes a nice cable set that id love to have.
Go on pirate and search "dana 300 cable shifters" and there's a lot of good info including links on where to get push/pull cables for us not rich people lol.

The cost effectiveness is one of the main things I've been looking at. I found a dana 300 for 200$ that was just rebuilt, Clocking rings for 69.$ and the misc hardware for building a cable shifter. I should be able to get it in for under 400$ If my math is correct.
