Default Drum to disc conversion ??

Installed BD's kit almost two weeks ago and all seems fine. Only thing is the ZJ PV parts gave me a problem. I installed the ZJ PV parts before bleeding the system and the rubber cap kept blowing off and squirting fluid when trying to bleed the rear brake. I'm running the XJ PV parts for now. Are you suppose to install the ZJ PV parts after bleeding the system with the XJ PV parts in place?

The rubber cap on the PV kept blowing off? This usually happens when you install the ZJ PV with the XJ cap.

I just swapped the shorter ZJ spring into mine. The valves themselves can only be installed with the corresponding cap (if you use the ZJ valve you MUST use the ZJ cap) as they are different diameters. It is my understanding that the diameter of the valve itself has no impact on the valving performance, only spring tensions. Therefore I went with just a spring swap as my XJ valve and cap were in better condition. I'll let you know how it works next week when its back on the road. Though my results may vary anyway as I'm running JK Baer big brakes.

I bet I used the wrong cap. I can't watch videos due to our for S**T server but saw enough to help. I tried the ZJ metering rod in the ZJ cap and it's a snug fit. I'm replacing my front rotors this week so I'll try the ZJ parts then. THANKS,guys.

I mistakenly used the XJ bleeder cap with the ZJ metering rod and spring. This morning I put new rotors up front and changed out the XJ PV parts for the PROPER ZJ PV parts.
