I don't know what you guys are talking about... I have 2 people I know who are running v8's in XJ's one is a nasty little ls1 and the other is a 5.9 out of a Durango both run well both have monster torque and wi climb right up a billy goats a$$ the only negative that either of them have said is the one with the 5.9 he said its a little nose heavy. Sure it will take a little m

Damn phone sorry anyway sure it will take a little money but heck if you want to do go for it man! I've been kicking the same idea around for a while now but I want to do a 5.9

Like I said I want the 5.9 I've been looking hard for a Durango donor so I can grab some other goodies from or too .
Of coarse the uni- body will need tied and plated first but that's all ready in the works. Idk why so many people think its a bad idea ? Something I'm missing?

I'm not against it. I wouldn't change mine. Plating the frame is a option but not required. I've seen several XJ's that tear apart even with plated rails from crawling and flexing for a long time. Do your homework and research it so you don't waste money.

dont forget to look for dakotas also. i had a 99 r/t with the 5.9. if i was going to do a swap like this i would get either an ls1 or the 5.9 but thats just me.
