I guess I should have said what happened with my motor. Started to hear a knocking then it sounded like a jack hammer. Oil smoke fogging the road behind me.

Just thought the v8 might be a good idea since its in great shape and just sitting there but I'll probably rebuild it even if I do find another motor

Well used 4.0Ls aren't exactly expensive or rare. 1987-1999 will be a nice fit.

Going to pick up a 94 to swap the motor for now. I'm going to pull mine apart to see what all broke and rebuild for a back up motor

Pulled my motor today. Drained the oil and it was full of water and my water had oil in it. Not a good sign. Pulling the motor out of a 94 and installing tomorrow . I'm using the auto tranny out of mine instead of the manual due to the ecm. I don't want to figure out rewiring right now. I'm just hoping the transfer case on the 5 speed 94 will work with my auto 91. Sensor plugs are different but I'll see what happens
