Will a 1989 jeep Cherokee front driveshaft work on a 1999 jeep Cherokee if it has the same axle and t-case?

yes it will work as long as they had the same transmission. the manual transmission is shorter and thus requires a shorter driveshaft.

Actually the manual is shorter so it will need a longer driveshaft for the rear. The front is about 29.5 inches in length while the rear shaft needs to be around 35 inches long.
