Driveshaft sye
If you do the hack and tap you cut a chunk off, drill and tap a hole in the middle and slip the new yoke on. The rest is a bolt on affair. People will tell you that the HNT is weak and blah blah blah. I know many people that crawl, mud and trail ride that have no problems at all. I beat on mine and havent had the slightest problem. Plus install was 30 minutes and the sye was 90$ made out of 1310.

the way I see it, my cuzz has an 00 with 5" of lift and a hnt sye. he used the front shaft outa his 95 parts rig. It worked great then he just got a Tom woods Ds later on. so, i don't know much about the np242 tcase but if you have a 231, u can use front Ds with 6.5" and sye with tcase drop other wize get a zj front or even better tom woods Ds or other drive shaft made for the application.

[QUOTE=Gee oh Dee;1139192]Not to mention if you ever nuke your tcase you can always reuse your HnT. Not always the case if you do a true SYE.[/QUOTE/]
Another valid point. ^Tom woods shafts are really high quality as well
