Default Doing a lift kit at home

I have a 94 xj. I bought a 4.5 inch rough country lift for my jeep. Decided to do it myself and my lord has it turned out to be a pain in my butt. Had to order different shackles to allow to rear leafs to fit properly. I attempted to take off the right rear shackle, but I think the welded nut is stripped or something. I got the bolt almost out and all is does is sits and spins in the same spot. Tried using a tuning fork to help it come out, but that didn't work. Took the rear bumper off to see if the nut had broke off the weld and that wasn't the case. Any ideas of how to get it out?

The bolt fuses to the metal sleeve inside the shackle. Best bet is to cut the bolt just inside the shackle box (opposite side if the nut), thus letting the head fall out then the shackle will come out of the box.

This is a common problem a lot of people run into when doing their lifts. Also the bolt tends to seize inside the leaf spring bushing on the front end of the leaf springs too, so if you haven't gotten that one out yet, be prepared to deal with it again up there.

You'll most likely have to cut the bolt out. All of mine were seized up and looked like this when they came out

Put a little pressure on the leaf spring with a floor jack. Once the bolt is centered, I just grab it with some vice grips and hit the vicegrips with a hammer. If its spinning, its not fused. It just wedged in there due to pressure of leaf spring.

Or you can just cut it like they recommended.
