Does this shackle angle look good?
Just installed rc relocation brackets and rubicon express shackles.
Springs sit pretty flat now. Does angle look ok or should I put in next hole back

The hearsay is, ppl Dont like the RC relocators. The no lift ones would do better. Putting in the next hole would cause a bumpy ride and chances of bottom the shackle out. Ride with it like this for now and see how it rides

Good timing, put mine on yesterday. The angle looks good to me. My springs also flattened out a bit; Rusty's springs 4.5 inch lift.

There's another company that makes the regular shackles relocators. Liquid iron or something similar. Those are suppose to not flatten the leafs out.

I'm running HD offfroad engineering low profile ones since I didn't want extra lift.

And for your other statement. I know what a shackle relocator does. The RC ones hang down and wind up stretching out the leafs. I feel not all the RB do the same effect to the leafs. Like stated earlier that is hearsay

iirc the LII rep told me that the RC one's are the weakest out there and other companies are mounted better or utilize more bolts. or something. basically he wasn't too happy with the design. you get what you pay for, but I don't think anyone has had a problem yet

Half the stuff out there is way over engineered for the average joe/weekend warrior I think.. but I have heard people not liking their RC ones for whatever reason.

My RC serves its purpose however i don't like the design. I feel it greatly lowers the mounting point which leads to the stretching of the leafs, including the fact you can't use the stock shackle really. I've noticed using the stock shackle doesn't stretch and flatten the leafs as much. It may sound crazy but

it has to work for everyone in the target market. not just the average joes. so it makes sense to produce an overkill product that can be used on any setup, within reason. smaller companies especially. a couple bad reviews and they're done. where RC seems to be bad review-proof

You want to be about a 45. As for the flat springs keep an eye on them. If you springs start to bow down on the main leaf you could end up snapping it.
