Default Do Rancho Springs Settle Much ? OMEs ???

I was wondering if anyone had used the Rancho 1.5" leaf springs or the OME RBs and if or how much did they droop after being installed ? Also , I want to use rubber bushings with them. What size would fit and do the standard OEM bushings fit them ? Right now, I'm undecided on the Ranchos or OMEs ???

I've had the Rancho's for almost two years and they haven't really drooped. But, I don't carry a ton of weight or tow a lot either. The OEM bushings do not fit. I have bought the rubber bushings for the rear but haven't gotten around to changing them our yet. I ordered them from

I wanted the OME but they discontinued the one's I wanted and now you have to remove a spring to lower ride height. But it seems everyone still ends up higher then what I wanted.

I have the OME 2.5" springs & shocks on my 1999 XJ. Originally, I didn't want that tall of a lift. I'm really glad that I opted for this setup! It's smooth on the highway, even at 80mph. Soaks up bumps on the gravel/dirt/rocks. The system is made for overlanding, so the assumption is that you'd need to carry a lot of gear in back. Hence the stiff leafs. I did have a driveline vibe after install, so I added an SYE and Tom Woods driveshaft. It was an easy enough install, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I did add new OEM shackles. Oh, while I was working on the front end, I popped in some Currie CAs. I'm glad that I did.

OME leafs use OEM rubber bushings. Lift has been on for 4+ months, no droop whatsoever.

If you opt for OME, give Dirk a shout. https://www.dpgoffroad.com/product-c...cherokee-kits/ The 'Ultimate' kit includes everything that you need, including leaf bushings. Dirk's u-bolt plates are BURLY.

Good luck!

So, did you buy the RB leafs and remove a leaf, 3rd on down ? I like the idea of the OEM bushings !

Yes that’s what I did. Rubber bushings made sense to me.
