Replaced oil pump and had to test to pump in place, ie; remove the dis and turn the pump with long screw driver, now I got it running again (with good oil pressure ill add) but at anything higher than idol it'll back fire.... Ideas if the time is off, which way do I turn it to set it correctly,

I advanced the distributer 1 cog turn clockwise and it seemed just fine took it on a test drive and everything looks good now I hope this helps someone one day, need any help pm me the distributer is a pita ha ha,
