Default Dirtbound Offroad Mantaray bumper installed!

I had been looking around at a bunch of different winch bumpers and really couldn't decide on which one to get. My kids like the look of the stinger bumpers and I almost went that route, but I wanted something that would protect my headlights a bit more from brush and maybe the occasional deer.

Came across this a few months ago, so ordered it up and it came in last week. It came naked, so I put on a few coats of enamel to keep the rust down and improve looks. I am digging the looks with my new Superwinch.

I will take some more and post up tonight.

I would love to have done a kit, but I have no welding skills. I have a crappy fluxcore that I have been practicing with and will move up to MIG when I feel that I can justify it.

I know it's not related but how do you like your headlights? I was looking at getting a set like them

General consensus on them is that they are ok. But if you do any kind of on-road driving they are horrible for oncoming drivers.

There is no proper cut off with those types of lights. They throw a ton of light in all directions. If you want LED headlamps get the Truck Lites or stick with halogen and get an upgraded harness/H4 conversion.

Yeah, basically what he said. I thought that they looked cool and obviously are substantially better than stock (I think a candle would come close as well), but not happy with the final result.

I will be getting some Trucklites next month.

Stock lights are definitely terrible, anything is an improvement. I plan on getting trucklites as well.

Awesome bumper i love the clearance for the rad.

Im also looking at this specific bumper and winch option. Im interested in mounting bracket pictures if your posting more thanx. Btw Did you have the tiger shark before or after and if youve used it how do you like the performance.

Kid had a ballgame last night so didn't get a chance to take any pics, hopefully tonight. I had the winch, but hadn't mounted it before I got this bumper. There is no mounting bracket, all of the holes come pre-drilled in the bumper and it fit like a glove.

This is my first time using synthetic and it is stupid light, I am highly impressed. My main concern and the reason for getting the synthetic is that I had a friend that was hurt pretty bad (but thankfully not permanently) when a winch cable broke. Didn't want to repeat that.

I am heading to a local offroad part for an after-thanksgiving crawl this weekend. Hopefully I don't have to use it, but if I do, I will report back.

Yes, for certain. I hate hooks, but have spent quite a bit of my play money recently, so have to wait a bit until after christmas before playing again but that is definitely on my short list of things to get...right after a PVS 14 Gen 3.
