Default Did the Bastard Injector Mod!!!

Yesterday after work i stopped by the local jy and grabbed 6 orange fuel injectors from a 93 model f250 5.0 ford truck engine. i soaked them in a 1 part purple power 1 part rubbing alcohol solution for 30 mins then took an old tooth brush to them. after that i dried them up and threw them in.. the entire wrench time took about 15 mins.. very pleased with the outcome, i noticed a little throttle response and it runs a whole lot smoother. I couldnt tell much on the power end but even the mileage seems to be doing better.

the injectors i used werent any that i had seen talked about though. im not sure of the part number but the injector number on the side that was stamped was F2TE A3Aand they are the 19lb 4 hole Orange ones found in mustang 5.0s from the early 90s and the f series trucks along with the explorers.

I strongly recommend buying a set, for the 20 mine cost me it was definitely worth the improvements

these are #19 and i was a little concerned as far as connectors and how much they flow but everything snapped right in and fired right up. it runs smooth as a brand new one now rather than having a choppy idle and early morning miss. i was told these are used more for an older model engine but everything seems to be working just fine and i can really tell an improvement. my roommate even noticed it.

No specific reason really he had 6 of these and only 4 of the other. and at 20 dollars for the set, my curiosity got the best of me and i decided to do a little field testing of my own (besides i can sell them to someone else with a different setup and make money so why not) and to my surprise these were still better than what i had. ill prob switch them out later but for now they are fine. ive seen no loss in power and gained in several areas previously mentioned.

Cause it seems to be the ones everyone is listing to work and improve engine performance and mileage.

im debating on buying a set of each and taking them both and testing them. i saw minor improvements here with these but as bad as my stockers were i coulda been bringing it closer to where it shoulda been. if that makes sense

No mileage improvement with Neon 703s injectors - tried 2 sets. Might give these Ford 5.0 a try, now that I know they work.

OP Has a 00 XJ - not sure of 98 is the same story...

Problem with this site, people just puke out what they have read and get these crazy ideas of this is the only way it can be done....
Good job man on trying something new, I've seen some else run the ford orange injectors before seems to work great plus its cheap.

Thanks a bunch guys guys for being understanding of trial and error. I really believe these help esp after today. In the mountains of western nc and acter work today did a good 2 hrs of cruising around testing and what we around here call "loafing" lol. Ive noticed that now it takes less foot at low rpm but at wot there doesnt seem to be any change. Cruising around feels really smooth and hills no longer make my jeep wanna commit suicide in high gear lol.
I would suggest this mod to anyone. Its probably a little different than the neon setup but its def an improvement and worth looking into.

CORRECTION!!!!! My jeep is a 97 model. Sorry i need to update my info. Ill do that now.

The 703 neon injectors are very similar and pretty much work the same. Not everyone sees an improvement in fuel economy, but most have a smoother idle and smoother transition through the rpms.
