I can't decide between these DC Extreme Country tires or the Mickey Thompson Deegan 38s. I like both.

So the TyreBeads work pretty good?

I would definitely get the extreme country's over Deegans. Cooper Discoverer STT Pro's are pretty badass too

Quote: It makes me happy when I see other guys still rock the white tire lettering out instead of hiding it on the inside....
My theory... I pay for premium tires, I want you to know about it. If I was rocking Kenda Klevers, I'd have that **** turned in, and maybe buff the black letters off of the outside so no-one would see my shame.

Quote: Awesome. Please post updates in here on you no so skinnys. I have a friend that is trying to keep weight down and is interested in in the 10.5's for his 7" wide alloys. Put up some picks when you have them on the jeep
I have a guilty confession... These aren't going on the Jeep. They're going on a project truck I somehow wound up with and got in over my head with. I won't disclose what brand it is.

If I ever get it done, maybe I'll post a pick and just blur out the truck.

And quite honestly, some lesser known brands perform just as well as more well known brands. Most tires, you end up paying for the name.

HAHA yeahhh I'd never buy a nitto or toyo based off of how much they've inflated their pricing. I remember when their tires were cheap! Now they're through the roof because every brodozer has them wrapped around their 22x14 wheels. Nope I'll pass.

Ok guys, point taken. I might have been exaggerating just a little bit for comic effect.

I don't hate on non-big name tires. I am a tire snob, but I'm not a egotist. I am also an engineer, so I focus on the numbers, not the marketing. Not all cheap tires are bad, and not all bad tires are cheap. I know this very well.

Except Kendas. Those are trash.

My point though, is if I drop $1200 on tires, I didn't do it for the name on them. But if they have a name on them... might as well show it off...

just wanted to say THANKS for posting a thread on this...I 1st saw the YouTube video (as mentioned early in thread) and was gonna pass...but this thread with pics and info convinced me to get these...so i put 33x12.5x15's on mine and am eager to try them out

the size i got was only $180/tire on amazon...that's alot cheaper than others this size...so if they are this good, i'm very happy with the purchase

Any update how they hold?

I'm going to order them in 33x12,5x15
What is their "real" height?

still running them still a great tire for the weekend warrior. They run small 32.5-32.8 brand new. Really wish I got 35s

So, again, not to hijack the thread, but I've had the 33x10.50's mounted for a little while. They're not as skinny as the BFG's I've seen before. Here they are mounted on 15x8, mounted on the truck. Just posting for the looks. It hasn't left the driveway yet, so I can't comment on performance.

Don't flame me for the truck. I seriously hate this thing more than any vehicle I've ever put a wrench on. I can't wait to finish it so I can sell it.

No hate hear man! I almost ended up with a Land Rover Dicovery II, but I broke it on the test drive. I really think the 33x10.50 are the perfect tire for a 3.5" lift xj with stock 3.55 gear. cant wait to get my regear done and hopefully move on to some bigger rubbers some time in the future.
