quick question. would the control arms being to short cause death wobble. My lower control arms are 16.50'' from center hole to center hole and my uppers are 15.50''. I have been told and have read that my lowers need to be 17.00'' to 17.25'' and my uppers need to be around 16.50''.

Yes they can. Too short or too long throws the suspension/steering geometry out of wack which contributes to dw.
