Death Wobble 33s 4.75 in lift RC LCA's
I just wanted to make a thread about my experience with death wobble and how I cured it on my Jeep. I understand that there could be 100 causes for DW and that what worked for me might not work for 99% of the people but if it helps anyone at all it was worth my 5 min to write this. Basically I was sitting at 3.5 in until recently when I added 1.25in spacer and all hell broke loose. I got Dw at 45mph. I got an aligment and balanced the tires and nothing changed. I swapped the right and left tire and noticed that DW came at a different mph. I read somwhere that lifted Jeeps on larger tires sometimes like to be ok with a lot more toe out than recomended. So thats what i did. I measured the distance beetwen the rear of the tires and the front of the tires and adjusted the tie rod. I set it where the lenght beetwen the front of the tires was about 1/2in more than the rear and thats it. Took it for a drive and the wobble is 100% gone. Not saying it will work for everyone but worth the try since before I did this I was getting ready to buy a new track bar, adjustable LCAs, and steering stabilizer, which as it turns out would have done nothing but burn a hole in my pocket.

Do you have a write up on how to adjust a track bar to the right specs? I have a 2 inch lift and my DW is horrible. I am going to purchase a new adjustable track bar because my stock bar is pretty worn, I just need to know how to do it.
