Default Death Wobble

I was doing about 100 Km's per hour on the highway today when I felt a death wobble in the front end. I slowed down and it went away then I accelerated again with no death wobble. What is the most probable cause of the wobble on a 95 Cherokee with 325,000 Km's?

A new steering stabilizer will most likely just mask the problem. You'll end up having to replace it again and again til you find the root cause which could be tons of things. Haha. Good luck. Search the web for jeep death wobble. A few people did write ups specifically for Cherokees

Un-Balanced tires, Alignment, Tie Rod End, Ball Joints, Part of the rack or pinion, Idler arm, bad steering stabilizer, Trac bar(bushings, angles, bolts), Axle mounts, control arm bushings, steering box bolts/spacers, frame(cracks in the frame could make the steering box feel loose), bad u joint, driveshaft unbalanced.

Watch out for those gaps in the road at high speeds. Thats where you'll get it. Until you find out what the root is.
