Dana 60 swap questions
Hey guys I知 going to swap a dana 60 from an 05+ superduty and I just had a couple thoughts. With the artec truss, will I be able to use any aftermarket adjustable trackbar for an XJ? Or will I have to custom fab my own? Also with that truss will my iro rock link 3 link long arm work? It doesn稚 have heims at the end i値l attach a picture below. I haven稚 installed it yet because i just bought the cherokee and i知 swapping in tons before i知 even able to drive it.

Yes, your drag link will be longer, so you will also need a longer track bar if you are going to use it on the highway. Also your upper coil perch will not be as wide as what you will have on the 60. Also you may want to check and see if you have a real 60. Many of the super duties have a Dana 55 which is still a very stout axle

Dana 50 straight axles were only in the 99-01 Superdutys. The rest are Dana 60s. Both are strong enough to handle just about anything under an XJ.

When you start putting things like a D55 or 60 in, you will end up fabricating most of the brackets and links in some way or another

Okay so now i’ve kinda figured it out so now my question is how do you figure out how long the track are needs to be?

Set the jeep on jack stands at ride height your after put axle under front end and center and set at height and then you can measure the length of needed track bar!

The track bar needs to be the same length as your drag link. Which means that you will need to kind of mock it all up at once. Also, if you draw a line from both points of articulation, they should be parallel.
You can see in this pic, my custom track bar is completely parallel with my drag link

Not to be an ***, but you would really benefit from looking and searching.
These are usually the type of questions someone figures out long before they consider the swap.
Go over to Pirate, and read until your eyes bleed, then read through it all again...seriously.
Especially if you want a setup that not only "works", but works well.
I wouldn't trust the IRO setup if you're running tons. I've never seen a setup that was originally used on a D30 that is beefy enough that I'd run.
