Default Dana 60 front

Well I've got a Dana 60 rear and I just found a Dana 60 front from a 95 2500 ram for a steal of a price. I've read some may bolt up from the dodge Rams and was wondering if this year worked as a bolt up option as well? If not it's not a big deal was just curious if it would actually be that easy.

Thanks!

NO, bracketry and spring perch will not fit properly.
You might get a custom long arm 3 link to work with it and some spring perch work.
Custom track bar and steering would be needed too. might snowball on you, but I've been there and done that kinda build. Never regretted it, but going overkill costs money. lots and lots of money.

Then going with a 14 bolt rear I guess, those should be bullet proof!

I'll be running either 40s or 42s. Not too worried about it, thanks though.

Have you seen the rear Dana 60 shafts? They neck down to the size of a Dana 44. If the Dodge 60 is a disconnect axle it's not that great of a axle but it'd be hard to pass on ANY cheap 60. I'd be better than the Dana 30. Good luck with the purchase.

Thank you! I'm still looking, that one is a CAD axle. I may get it being its only $150. But I'm still looking, I found a 79 ford kingpin, that I'm hoping isn't sold

dodge front 60's are CAD and low pinion. Also I m not sure but I think weaker hub bearings... Maybe that's the dodge 44's.

To be honest. I would hold out for a ford hp60's

Yeah I've been looking, hard to find around me. If I'll find one for under $1000 I'll be lucky

Is that rear 60 a full float or semi float axle?

King pin is overrated. I'd opt for a ball joint 60. More modern, more affordable. They are $500 -$700.

I'm giving my Dana 60 rear to a buddy, plans changed and I'm picking up a 78 ford Dana 44 and a 78 9" tomorrow with brand new Richmond gears and install kits included. I'll just run my 35s for now and down the road get 37s thanks guys!
