Dana 35 axle assembly removal help
This may sound kind of elementary but I am in the process of doing an 8.8 swap. I am in the middle of removing the dana 35 and and hit a small road block. I have a tube that comes out of the backing plate on both drums but I have no Idea what it is or how to remove it. I have removed the parking brakes and regular brakes but this third hose?? Any ideas on what it is? or how to remove it? I looked it up in my chiltons but it does not give me anything or at least that I could find.
Thanks for the help!!!

It's the wiring for your ABS. Might as well cut it since it won't work with the 8.8 anyway. You could unbolt it, only has one inside the drum, but easier just to cut it out of the way.

Be sure to pull the fuse and unplug the dash light for it or it'll never go off. I had to with my 44 as well... Never looked back.

Where exactly do you cut it off at? I was thinking right where it comes out of the vehicle. That way there's nothing dangling from underneath.

Well I did a little more research and got the ABS all figured out. As I was going over the 8.8 I was a little baffled on how exactly the brake mount up to the XJ system. I tried to find a good write since I am kind of new at this. I was unable to find a write up on how to make the brakes match up. Can anyone point me to a detailed write up on the brakes?
Thanks!!! I appreciate the help.
