What Dana 30 will be a direct bolt up to a 9t XJ? Wrangler? Grands? I just need to know what years and which vehicles fit!

As previously advised TJ, ZJ and 2000/1 all used low pinion but up to/ including 1999 used high pinion then there is various ratios depending on engine/ gearbox options so check the tag on your rear diff for ratio then you will know what D30 + ratio needed.
Low pinions are weaker than high pinion diffs
From memory 10/1999 on had different unit bearings and disc brake rotors so know the bits your looking at will tell you the year your looking at plus if it has diff tags will make it easier

Be thankful for the internet and forums,When i was younger i learned a ton off people i knew or reading magazines like hot rod and rod and custom.Even sometimes crawling around cars in the junkyard.
XJ, ZJ, TJ, and MJ front axles interchange.
ZJ axles are low pinion and mostly 3.73
TJ axles are low pinion and ratio varies greatly by engine/trans combo
MJ axles mostly have the vac disco but 90-92 have regular HP30's but watch out for gear ratios.

I've very thankful! Just kills me when people bash someone else's interests. It doesn't effect anyone else. Lol

Your right in the early 60's that's all there was but at least at high school we had Auto Shop and welding. In fact our shop class built a drag car and raced it for 2 yrs my Jr. and Sr. yrs of HS, hooked me for life on Drag Racing. Reading consumed me everything automotive and what car mags. I could afford while buying car parts, while flipp'in burgers lol.
I guess it was that drove my life to make more and more money so I could race fast and faster cars over all those years. In fact my "Advertising 'Dollars" spent on racing over the last 35 yrs have brought on 6 audits all of which they found in my favor.
Its just one of those things that early in life can shape it for you, like hunting got my first .22 for my 7th birthday from my dad, that and racing both were good for and too me.
