Default D44 Locker Question

Will a dana 44 locker from a 70's fullsize cherokee fit in the D44 that is in an 87 Cherokee. Same splines and everything but im worried about the case sizes. Thanks in Advance. Zack

yes it should, depending on whether it is a full case replacement locker (detroit) or lock-rite that just replaces the spider gears.

Yes.

Any Dana 44 locker/carrier will fit any Dana 44 from any car, truck, van or SUV....except the dana44a found in ZJ's.

As long as the splines are the same, and you said they were, you should be good. Just FYI they came with at least 4 different spline counts over the years that come to mind, maybe more.
