Default cutting/trimming factory bumper... write up search

Ok so this is probably something very simple but I just want to make sure I make it look right when I do it. I searched for a write up on this but didn't get far.

I wanted to take the plastic off the front bumper and angle it so it looks like this(below). I'm at a 4" lift and would like to fit 33's... friend of mine said doing this would help and I don't think it looks bad plus I'm thinking about doing the TJ fender flares too.

Go from this...

you could do it, i would be more worried about the back fitting than the front, what width tires and what offset rims do you want to run?

Ive been looking for the same answers. I want to run without bumper caps. In the front the inside of the fender is wide open. Would love a good write up on this. I see they usually cut the fender flush with the bottom of the grill but still itd be wide open.

Looking to go with an all too common set of 15x8 3.75bs wheels. This will bump them out enough where I should be able to run a 12.5 wide tire correct? With the lift I have tho it looks like I'm going to end up with a 32x11.5 or a little more aggressive 31x10.5

I still want to be able to flex the vehicle w/o rubbing every little thing so I know a 33 is out of the picture

I'd like to see that write-up, too. Looks easy enough to figure out, but a write-up would be nice.

I just measured on the bottom how far I wanted to cut and taped a line to that mark on both sides. Pretty simple. I did mine over the summer

Did you do it with the bumper on or off? What did you use to cut it?

I left it on. Used an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel

Where did you put everything behind the bumper like the vacuum ball and the horns?

I bent my bumper while off road. I took it off & put it in a chop saw. I relocated my "ball" in front of the blower motor- it's just laying there. I didn't move the horns just rotated them down so they don't fill with water.

Now I just have to take them big block deals off and clean it up and paint it. I guess that will be a project for another day.
