The lip or edge on the bottom of the 8.25 axle hangs down pretty low. Has anyone ground or cut this part off some so it doesn't hang down so low? If you did, how did you do it? If you have pictures, that would be nice also. I have mine on jack stands doing the disc brake mod and Aussie locker install so while it's out, I may as well take care of this issue also if at all possible. Thanks..

IT can be done.. and it has been done, but its marginal what you can cut off.. Not really worth the trouble.

Sweet rock toy! Thanks. You can't tell that's an 8.25.Originally Posted by Rock Toy
Pretty easy, just make sure you measure thickness and don't get carried away, cut a little at a time and then measure again.Attachment 176085

I did the same thing to my 8.8.
Really? Gonna have to do that when I get mine. Originally Posted by lowrange2

And I gotta admit, with the riddler cover and "shaved" bottom. I'd be scratching my head for a min, wondering what that axle is. Lol
