The lip or edge on the bottom of the 8.25 axle hangs down pretty low. Has anyone ground or cut this part off some so it doesn't hang down so low? If you did, how did you do it? If you have pictures, that would be nice also. I have mine on jack stands doing the disc brake mod and Aussie locker install so while it's out, I may as well take care of this issue also if at all possible. Thanks..

IT can be done.. and it has been done, but its marginal what you can cut off.. Not really worth the trouble.

Pretty easy, just make sure you measure thickness and don't get carried away, cut a little at a time and then measure again.

I cut between one and two inches, and the best part is now I don't have the square bottom to hook on stuff, and act like an anchor.

Sweet rock toy! Thanks. You can't tell that's an 8.25.

Really? Gonna have to do that when I get mine.

And I gotta admit, with the riddler cover and "shaved" bottom. I'd be scratching my head for a min, wondering what that axle is. Lol
