to cut or not to cut?...need advice
ok so i have a
2000 xj 3.5 RE lift (and front 3/4 coil spacer) so overall its really like a 4'' lift. currently its on bfg AT 31x10.50r15 s with factory fender flares which were rattle canned very poorly and look like crap. To me the tires look a bit small and theres only about 5k worth of tread left.
right now i have a tough decision to make because i have stock 3.55 gears, i have a 8.25 axle in storage with 4.10s in it that i plan on swapping first of the year. i was told 4.10 gears and 31s is not a good route to go. i would like 32x11.50r15. however i DO NOT want to lift my jeep anymore especially bc my BDS track bar is only suited for jeeps lifted 2-4". i know the 32s will NOT fit my jeep without cutting. Honestly in my opinion i think 33s on an xj are too big for daily driving so thats a no. also i unfortunatley cant afford $400 bushwakers either. and im a bit skeptical of cutting.
so what should i do? I AM DEFINATLEY DOING 4.10s for sure. so should i cut em out and go flareless with 32s or leave the flares and run 31s. also not sure about the rear bumper end caps. they look bad if removed on 97+ xjs.

i have 35's and 3.07s for daily driver, its not that bad! lol and nothing bigger than 33's for daily drivers? you know how many trucks/suvs come stock with that size? 33's are like the size of a 32, might as well save money and get those

Extend the bumps 1.5" in the rear. 2.5 in the front and you wont have to trim your fenders. Well in the rear I had to remove just a smigin off of the very bottom plastic. You can't even tell.
IN the first picture my front fenders have been trimmed one inch and the stock flares put back on. But I only run an 1.5 in bump in the front. With a 2.5 I would not have to trim at all.

No 33x12.50 is cool, they look sweet, but in MY opinion i think that they are a tad on the big side for a DAILY driver thats all im saying. And 33x10.50 looks like pizza cutters so thats a no

Religioushairyman get's away with less trimming because he's running a really narrow tire.
A 31x10.50R15 on 7-8inch wheel. 4" BS wouldn't require a ton of trimming.
With the correct bumpstops.

Im certain right now theres no way a 33x12.50 is gonna fit without a good amount of trimming. (Regardless of the advertised dimensions ) I see alot of guys on here with a 4.5 lift with cut outs running 33x12.50. Honestly my jeep is my DD im not tearing it up off road. My goal here is a comfortable mild all terrain tire and correct gearing. That is all. I would just like to clean up my junky looking flares while im at it.

LIke I said I ran 32 10.5 swampers before I got the cutters. And they worked fine also.
I think anything larger and you would need to cut. But obviously the op is very hard to please. Since 10.50's are pizza cutters and 12.50 is too large for a street jeep.
