Default Crooked Steering Wheel

Hi all,

I drive a 2001 jeep xj with a rough country lift and 31's. So a couple months back someone cut me off and made my jeep jump about a 6" curb around 40 mph. Since the alignment and some repairs the steering wheel is cockeyed about 20-30 degrees to the left and wont change even after adjusting the drag link. What else could be the issue as to why the steering wheel wont go straight? Today we replaced the drag link and it didn't help at all! Thanks!

Do you have more slop in the steering now than before?

There is a U-joint in the steering shaft between the steering gear and the steering wheel, check to see if it has been damaged.

Hmm didn't think of that, will check on it when I get the chance to take it back in the shop, thanks! Any other suggestions?

If you have had it aligned and adjusted the drag link to no avail, then pull the steering wheel off and put it back on a notch or two over. This assumes it drives well and has no other driving issues.
