Looking to run Microsquirt and wondering if anyone here has ran the MARS damper that has trigger wheel machined into it and what your experience was. How was the quality? I'm well versed in megasquirt with 6 different cars running it and more than a few inline 6's at that. Looking to tune for this crappie fuel we are getting (e15) and tossing the idea around of a gt30 and laying on some boost. If I'm gonna get crappie milage may as well have fun doing it. The Mars damper looks like a great option for a 36-1 trigger.

I made my own. Aluminum wheel w/4 magnets at 90°. For a v8 setup. MSD had them, for a 6cyl I'm not sure though. U design a piece, I can make it. 50+ yrs machinist and wrenchman. My 4.0 megasquirt project is still in design phase. Good luck! Ric

 

MARS damper quality is solid. Machining is clean and the trigger wheel is well placed. No wobble issues if you install it right. Only real headache is clearance if you keep stock accessories. Works perfect for 36-1 on Microsquirt.
