I have the cowl. I am good in water up to my chest sitting in the jeep. So do I really want to go deeper?

I don't think so.

I would have knocked the external snorkel off by now.

Will be doing this soon, But finding a way to fit a cone filter into the cowling, since the P.O Decided he would lose the stock airbox before he sold it to me.

You'd either have to cut an access hole above that cowl area or make a bracket to hold the filter to the firewall and the intake tube.

If you off road. I seriously would suggest craigslist or ebay to find a stock air box.

The paper filters in the cowl can easily get destroyed.

I can literally go over the hood in water for a few minutes and not get anything on the filter. Its pretty amazing.

I want to do this mod but I have 2 questions first wouldn't it create a vacuum at speed? With the air going over not in, making it hard for the engine to breathe? And how do they do with snow? Do you have to completely clear it before starting up each time?
