Could I "in theory" cut a coil spacer in half and use on 2 XJs?

Could I "in theory" cut a coil spacer in half and use on 2 XJs?
Just want another 1" and so does my budddy. and I have a 2" spacer. I know they are shaped a little different on top, would it be a crazy idea to try and cut it in half? thanks

after looking at a close up picture, it looks doubt full to try and use both ends, but could I cut it in half and just use the top inch?

Yes, you could cut them. They'll be no different than the stock oslators.
So, sell those and find a couple stock isolators and stick em on there.
