So if i did all the prep work needed, does anyone have a ballpark figure on what the cost would be to weld in a pair of 3/16 Ruff Stuff stiffeners? (I live in Virginia Beach, VA).

I will be modifying my RockKrawler long arm brackets, rock sliders, skids, & armor which will all get welded to the stiffeners so i wanna make sure there 100% done right!

 

Are you doing full front to rear stiffeners, or just the middle sections? Really hard to nail down a price, the best advice I can give is call up several local fab/welding shops in your area, and get some quotes. Price is going to depend on the amount of work being done. Doing the prep in advance may save you a few bucks, but if someone else is going to do the install, you may want to consult with them first to see exactly what and where you need to prep.

 

Yeah call around if you catch a welder needing work you can get a nice deal.

 

Thanx for the replies guys. If u look up Ruff Stuff XJ stiffeners I'm sure u'll find a pic or several. They mostly cover the middle of the unibodied XJ.
