Default Converting vac disconnect to a switch because of locker

I have an 87 with vac disconnect front axle. Here is my thinking. I have an automatic locker (Spartan) front and rear. I was thinking of doing the posi lock so when I get in tight turns or slippery rocks I can stay in 4wd but disengage one wheel making it easier to turn.

Then I read About a non jeep owner had installed a jake brake switch so you could put jeep in 4x4 but had to switch the switch to on position to engage the front axle disconnect.

Anyone do this before?

Nobody has done this? Sounds like a great way to be able to turn on tight trails when you have front and rear auto lockers
