Default Control Arm Drop Bracket Question?

Was doing a little research and have been thinking about ordering control arm drop brackets. Thing is while i was doing research ive seen a few people mention that you should have adjustable UCA's. I was wondering if this is true and wanted to get a lottle more input on whether id need some or not?

My situation is i have a 3.5" RE lift measures to about 4.5-5.0 and will settle at about 4" ish

hving upper and lower adjustable control arm is deff a plus for fine tuneing front end alingment and if you add more lift you can just extend the arms but with that small a lift dont think you need both

I know i saw something on here where a guy was running DB at 3" of lift and was having caster issues that required UCA's. DB also push your axle forward slightly. What are your reasons for wanting to upgrade?

He knew that when he started. Using DB's at that height is no problem. It just needs to be set up correctly.

Understandable. There are many different things that contribute to flex. Ride however, depends mostly on CA angle and shock choice.

DB's at that height were made to be used with the weak stock LCA's. How long are your current LCA's?

? I dont understand what your trying to tell me. You can run whatever suspension you want at 2-3" of lift. Just because they dont make the parts that bolt on to do this doesnt mean it is not possible..... Are you saying that running long arms on 2-3" of lift is bad? I believe KTM ran LA's, 36's on 3" of lift. Doubt he just bought the parts and bolted them on. http://www.jpmagazine.com/featuredve...j/viewall.html

Roughly 2" of lift on 40's and custom suspension.

Good choice on shocks. Your LCA's are slighty longer than stock so you might be able to get away with running your current ones with the DB's. I would suggest getting a nice set of adj. UCA's. That would help you dial in a very functional short arm set up.
