thinking of installing new control arm bushings or possibly upgrading to new adjustable control arms. The cost difference is the thing thats leading me to the bushings for now. Lifted 4.5" so not sure which way to go fighting an ongoing DW issue so figured my next step is to check the bushings

You should go with the adjustable arms since you have a 4.5" lift. The stock arms with a 4.5" lift can be contributing to your death wobble.

Did the kit you got come with a drop pitman arm? Because if you out on a drop pitman arm, without a drop bracket for the track bar, it'll throw off your drive line geometry. With 4.5" of lift, it depends on what your doing with it as to what's arms to get. If its a DD, there is no need for adjustable. Also... did you get an adjustable track bar? If so... did you get an alignment after installing the lift?

4.5" on stock arms? Holy ****..i bet your ride is similar to a dump truck. Invest in some new lowers.. I went with RE superflex adjustables..couldnt be happier....well I take that back..long arms would make me happier.

Minus the control arm issue... if there's a drop arm, and no drop bracket. Youre geometry is way off. Mount point to mount point of your track bar should be parallel with your steering linkage from pitman arm to the other link. I read an arrival about curing death wobble. A real real good one. I've got to see if I can find it again... or maybe someone else will post it. I know your original question was about control arms. But I know quite a fee people running a 4.5 lift with 31's and it rides like a dream with all stock arms. Soo... new arms, yes. But I don't think its going to cure your bigger problem

Also with putting in an adjustable track bar. Have to the the adjustment right. If not taking it to a shop to get it aligned... pull off tires. Put a couple lugs back on to hold rotor tight. Use a square to square down off frame on drivers side. Take measurment from square to rotor. Repeat passenger side. Adjust track bar in or out to make the numbers match.

Gonna go over the front end again today if nothing else throw in the poly bushings and see if that makes it better I can always buy control arms if that fixes it
