Default Complete axle swap

Swapping front and rear axles with a direct swap

1. Front D30 w/3.07 gears to a Dana 30 w/4.10 gears
Im swapping a non disconnect out and a disconnect in, but i will be pulling out the shafts and knuckles from the old to the newish axle... as far as my understanding goes that is what needs to be done??

2. Rear Dana 35 w/3.07 to Chrys 8.25 w/ 4.10 29 spline
Direct swap not too hard once again just different drive shaft and have to get new brake lines but not quite positive on what ones to get... I have a 4.5 in lift about to be 6.5

MY MAIN ISSUE IS HOW THE **** DO I GET RID OF THE ABS THAT'S IN MY CAR, CUZ I HATE ABS ANYWAYS SO THIS NEEDS TO GO ESPECIALLY WITH THESE NEW AXLES :curs ing:

what year of jeep is this going in? you can just remove the abs relays from under the hood in the PDC.

you may need to replace the rear axle brake differential block. not sure, but i had to when i went from d35 to d44. different vent tube location and hook up.

Well the 8.25 won't have ABS anyway. So just pull the relays, and tape over the ABS light on the dash.

You're much better off regearing the non-disco axle.

You can pull the ABS fuse to disable the system for starters. You can remove all of the ABS "Stuff" under the hood and replace it with parts from your favorite JY.

Frankz why is a non disco stronger? I'll be changing everything over from my non disco to the disco to make it a non disco axle, just using the shell essentially and I will be trussing the d30 anyways so how could it be weaker

.... trusses..... not a whole lot.... long as you deal with the disco portal.

Because there are 2 tubes that go into the cast disco housing, not a 1 piece tube. They are much easier to bend/break.

Talkin bout dance dance dance! I'm saying if he puts trusses on the axle it should strengthen it to about as strong as a non disconnect if he's converting it to a non disconnect inside. But why not just get a jy non disconnect?

Why not take the 4.10's out of the Disco axle and put them in the non-disco?

Will the 4.10s from a disco axle fit in a non disco axle? What all would I have to do to get it swapped over? and it's hard to find a non disco with 4.10 in it in the junkyard
