I've recently cut the quarters and swapped the leaf springs around. I'd say in all it gave me about 5 or 6 inches more wheelbase. My problem now is what to do with the gas tank. I've got a fuel cell but really don't feel like buying a pump and new lines plus it not but an 8 gallon, I don't really want to raise the floor for the tank to clear the axle, and if I cut and fab a recess in the tank it'll cut into the internal baffle. Any ideas?

Thanks but I think i'd rather have the tank on the outside of the vehicle just for safety reasons (fumes) alone. Plus I'd hate to lose all my cargo area. I've thought about just cutting the shaped braces on the bottom of the floor (the ones that locate the tank) and moving them back about 4 inches, but then I'd loose my access hole in the frame for the filler neck to poke through. I just don't know what to do.

Hey what about the tank out of another jeep. Like a WJ, ZJ, etc.? Think they might would work?

fumes? why would you get fumes the tank is sealed... well mine is anyways

as for the hole in the frame... you can either cut a new one and beef up that area... or you can get a custom tank
