Comp Cams SK68-239-4
Hi guys,
I recently had my engine stroked and I've noticed just some terrible gas mileage... like 10mpg. I wrote another thread asking if changing the gearing would help at all, but I want to start a new one to talk just about cams.
Other thread:

Here is the cam currently in my engine:
http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...x?csid=11&sb=1
The duration on this cam is 262 on the intake, and 270 on the exhaust.
Up front, let me just say that this cam was not my choice and I trusted the guy building the engine up to make sense of it all for me. I find the whole thing with getting the right timing/durations/etc a bit confusing.
From everything I read, this is pretty agressive and the ECU will never be able to calibrate correctly.
It looks like what I should have had put in is the 232-4:
http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...x?csid=12&sb=0
The duration on that cam is 250 on the intake, 256 on the exhaust.
So what are my options?
Can I get by with adjusting the timing?
Or do I absolutely have to swap the cam to get something made for daily driving?
Thanks!

Mine was custom ground by Comp to my specs. How much larger of a bore did your engine end up with? My lift is close to stock but I increased the duration to offset/compensate for the larger bore.
