Default Comanche rear bastard pack

I have an 86 comanche and i wanna go up only about 4". I have a friend that will sell me a set of leafs that are 52 inches long and 2.5 wide. They are 4" lift spring for his fullsize chevy truck. My concerns are that being 52" and my stocks are 57", that itll not set together properly and be no good.

If i cut the eyes off the lift springs and mixed and matched the chevy and jeep springs would it do the job?

Thanks for the help guys.

Do you know about the bastard pack question? Will a 52" leaf packed into a stock 57" jeep spring effect it adversly?

you can still get some lift out of them. i run a bastard pack on my MJ, but from some 90s 2wd F150 springs instead. my setup is as follows and netted me around 3.5" of lift:

MJ main
F150 main
F1502nd
F150 3rd
MJ 3rd

since your springs are shorter i think you would do something like this:

MJ main
MJ 2nd
Chevy main
Chevy 2nd
MJ 3rd

i eliminated the overload leaf as it doesnt really do anything now being that its lifted and the springs have more arch. you can also use more of the Chevy pack if you end up needing more lift. the reason i kept the MJ 3rd is because of the "U" clamps that keep the spring pack from fanning out. just remove the stock bolt at the top so you can clear your now thicker leaf pack.
