Default Cold air intake

Yes I know....another thread about it. But what are the off road dangers of it? Does that make you highly more susceptible to having hydrolock? Would I be in trouble if I drove fast trough a puddle? Anyway to have a protected one?

A true "Jeep" CAI would be safe. Ideally you would run the inlet through the cowl or do a snorkel. So that would keep you fairly clear from "puddles".

If you want a cold air intake and do anything more than light offroading, go with a cowl intake kit. If you like to play in puddles, that would be way better than the standard cold air kit.

If its a mall crawler its fine,If it ever goes off road get a cowl intake or leave the stock one in place.
