Hey guys new to being a registered member (i've been a "guest" reader for a couple years now). Anyways i need some new 4.5" coils and want a coil that can take the weight of a winch/bumper combo but also have articulation, i know these might not go hand in hand but i'm looking for more of a happy medium (compromise) between ride quality and weight bearing. Below are the spring rates by various manufactures and i want recommendations on which spring rate to go with.
Rustys 4.5": 150 (Ive heard mixed opinions on the accuracy of rustys spring rates)
Rubicon Express (RE) 4.5": 164
Clayton Offraod 4.5": 170
OME 2939 4": 220
Iron Rock Offroad (IRO) 4": 230
BDS 4.5": 240
Zone Offroad 4.5": ???

Have you thought about using a spring with lower spring weight and using either spacers or ACOS to dial in your needed height? I went with the OME 2934 (160#) and paired that with a set of ACOS so I could dial in the spring height If/when I added more armor down the line. With a factory front bumper and the spacers on the lowest setting I'm right around 4.5" of lift and the lower spring rate rides pretty nice
