I have this clunking sound coming from front end I have no clue what it is, I noticed my one sway bar bolt was backing out and i tightened it and it is starting to back out again and I have no clue how to get around it and when I tightened it the clunking sound was still happening I feel it in the pedals and some what in the wheel and my steering is loose

 

Your loose steering is most likely worn out tie rod ends, but your clunk is probably your track bar. Check both ends of the track bar, upper end first!

 

I did when I had it up on a lift I checked everything and everything was tight the only thing that was loose was the sway bar bolt and I fixed it and it's starting to back out again

 

Most of the time everything feels tight, but it can still be worn out. Double check the front shock mounts maybe. It could also be a ball joint. But if you can feel it through the steering wheel I would say it's the track bar or lefthand shock . I would go over those one more time to rule them out.

 

have some one get under the front while you rock it to see if you can duplicate the sound. my front sway bar mounts are worn and you can see the sway bar clunk side to side a little.

 

Its hard to find loose things. When u have the weight of the jeep on the tires, there is downforce on everything. When u put it on a lift the opposite happens and once again appears to be tight. Try using the lift to just take the weight of the jeep off the axles. Then you should have no trouble finding what it is. Hope this helps.

 

i had a clunk check ur control arms that was my problem..an u dont need a sway bar take that thing out..unless u already biought quick disconnects lol
